2024 SHOW CANCELLED

After much deliberation, the show committee have come to the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Vaynor Show.

Due to the ongoing road closure between Pontsarn and the showfield, it’s felt the alternative route from Pant through Pontsticill village is not suitable for livestock vehicles and the added volume of traffic. 

Please accept our apologies and we hope to see you all at the 2025 show which we plan to be bigger and better than ever with much more on offer for a fantastic family day out.

 

Vaynor Show donates money to local charities and organisations including the Merthyr Mendicants who work  tirelessly on show day with their excellent cooking skills  . This years recipients are Macmillan Nurses (Merthyr Tydfil ) ,whose group of volunteers worked hard on show day serving food and refreshments to the public until they sold out .many thanks and well done.

Also benefiting from show funds are Wales Air Ambulance, ,Cancer Aid Dowlais and Merthyr Mountain  Rescue after their unfortunate fire.

Also a donation towards the cost of new play equipment for the children of Pontsticill.

Without the generous support of the many volunteers,friends,local companies, competitors ,sponsors and the general public who turn out every year no matter the weather we would not be able to support the many charities and local organisations ,so many thanks to everyone.

As there is no longer a public bus service to Pontsticill.
